We acquired this Sarracenia a few years back at a reptile show(! ) in Rotherham, along with some funky black and white ground beetles as pets, but that’s for another blog!
Anyway, at the time we were told they like to be pot bound and to keep them wet. We’re doing that, using spring water to avoid stuff in tap water (eg chlorine / flouride / limescale etc) and it’s been doing well.
The question remains, while it may ‘like’ being pot bound, how do I know when it’s time to repot it?
Should I wait for roots to appear out the bottom of the pot?
Maybe wait until the pot splits?
I’d love to hear some ideas on this!
